Passes & Badges

Sales are paused, read our COVID-19 update.

There are two types of tickets for The Next Stage:
3-Day On-Site Badges & Streaming Passes .

The purchase price of a Streaming Pass can be applied to an On-Site Badge at any time, provided that Badges are left in stock.

What follows is a guide to these ticket options, our refund & COVID policies. Note: we are requiring that ALL ON-SITE ATTENDEES bring proof of vaccination against COVID-19. This policy is set to minimize complications and prevent confusion on site.

On-Site Badges

3-Day On-Site Badges are currently on sale.

Badges grant access to Town Hall and all Spotlight Sessions, Talks, Panels, Firesides, and Salons (subject to room capacity).

Badges guarantee one Mini-Festival selection. Workshop capacities are limited. (Preference survey to be sent mid-Dec. Every effort will be made to provide badge holders with their first choice. Some experiences will have standby capacity.)

Individual tickets for on-site festival selections will not be available. Some off-site selections have capacity on alternate non-festival dates, which are not included in the badge price.

There will only be 200 of these Badges made available, with additional Full Scholarship (50 badges) and Partial Scholarship (50 badges) stock having been fully committed.

All General Admission Badges are ON SALE NOW.

THIS LINK WILL TAKE YOU TO THE TICKETING SITE.

REFUND POLICY

As we’ve noted in prior events: the Summit is bootstrapped and we don’t have deep pockets. In the event we have to cancel or indefinitely postpone the event we will process partial refunds of the Badges less any costs we are unable to recover. (This year that means flights and any rentals who won’t play nice. Our venue deposit is already paid, so we don’t have to worry about that.)

To get the operating budget we need we pretty much need a sell-through until some big sponsor comes in. This means that ALL SALES ARE FINAL on 3-Day On-Site Badges. If you’re uncertain about traveling in Jan — and we get it, believe us — then you probably want to get a Streaming Only pass. It won’t be the same without you there, but at least you won’t miss the big talks.

Once we sell-through and are able to activate the Wait List we will be matching those who wish to sell with those who wish to buy. Note: Badges are NON-TRANSFERABLE any other way. Badges that are resold or handed off to someone else will be REVOKED

Again: if all of that is too much risk for you to take on we understand, and encourage you to take advantage of the Steaming Only pass.

In the event that we have to pivot to digital, all Badges will be converted to Streaming+ passes and pro-rated discounts will be given. (Yes, we’ve spent far too much time thinking of every contingency.)

COVID-19 POLICY & PROTOCOL (Updated 12.17.21)

We are monitoring the COVID-19 surge in the United States closely. Some of you may recall that the original Summit was scheduled for March of 2020, and it was the first wave that postponed it until the current dates.

The Summit & Mini-Festival is going forward as planned, but may adjust plans if a ban on public gatherings, or other dramatic shift occurs. We tell you this as a matter of transparency. We will share contingency plans when and if they are needed. In the event of a cancelation, we will not produce a virtual-only event as we did in 2020.

All On-Site participants must be vaccinated against COVID-19.

This is defined as having a full initial course of a vaccine: be that two doses of Pfizer/Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson (or the equivalent from another country) and a booster dose.

Note: this is a change from previous policy.

Because this is an update to the policy, those unable to acquire a booster dose in time for the event will be required to present a negative rapid-Covid test on-site. (We are looking into having testing available on-site for a fee, updates forthcoming. Unfortunately we do not have the resources at this time to provide free testing to all attendees.)

PROOF OF VACCINATION will be required on-site.

We encourage you to upload your proof ahead of time via the PRE-REG FORM link you will be sent via Eventbrite. This will save you time during badge pick-up.

Masks will be required of all attendees during indoor sessions, at this time this includes speakers and performers.

As the current surge develops we may raise the standard to require negative tests from all attendees in addition to Proof of Vaccination. We encourage you to acquire over-the-counter rapid tests in anticipation of this.

Those who have a medical or religious exemption to vaccination are encouraged to choose a Streaming Only pass.

Badge Holders without Proof of Vaccination will be denied entry and not be refunded.

This policy is set to minimize complications and prevent confusion on site.

Travel Advisory

Mini-festival programming WILL begin on the 6th, those who are in Los Angeles will be able to take advantage of those festival slots.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, we recommend getting refundable tickets in case local ordinances cause us to postpone the main event.

F.A.Q.

I definitely want to come to the Next Stage Summit in January, and I was a HERE Summit badge holder in 2020. Which pass should I buy?

If you are absolutely certain you’re coming in January, buy a 3-DAY ON-SITE BADGE. Just remember: those are non-refundable.

Are you still selling Streaming+ Passes?

2020 HERE Summit Badge Holders may refer to the emails they received from Eventbrite. Streaming+ applies only to them and the only benefits were giving more time to make a decision on badge purchases.

I had a Full Scholarship to the 2020 HERE Summit. Do I need to buy anything?

No. We have contacted each scholarship recipient to confirm your status. Please check your email’s spam and promotions folders.

I already bought a Streaming+ and I’m planning on coming to The Next Stage Summit in person in January. Did I goof?

No, you’re good! You’ve got until November 2 to pay for your badge. You’ve bought yourself some time!

I didn’t have a HERE 2020 Badge and want to attend The Next Stage Summit in person in January. Which pass is for me?

You should purchase a 3-Day On-Site Badge.

Will the price of the 3-DAY ON-SITE BADGES go up again after Nov. 15?

We currently do not anticipate additional price increases, however demand may drive us to consider it.

Are there SCHOLARSHIPS this year?

The Scholarship & Partial Scholarship program has been fully committed since the 2020 HERE Summit. We will not be offering an application for discounted badges for this year’s event.

Can I volunteer for the Summit & Festival?

Our volunteer recruitment will begin in November.

Can I submit a proposal for a presentation for the Summit?

Our RFP process for 2022 has closed.

Can I submit a proposal for an event for the Mini-Festival?

We are not accepting proposals for the Festival component at this time.
